VINO BRUSHKO

PROJECT

Brushko is the wine of XFarm Agricoltura prossima, produced using regenerative farming practices on the 10 hectares of vineyard confiscated from organized crime in San Vito dei Normanni (Br), in collaboration with Masseria La Cattiva (Ba). Brushko represents the redemption of mistreated grapes, abandoned and overexploited land, and the merging of people and visions working together to build a new rural narrative as a tool for cultural and social growth.

Brushko wine is the symbol of XFarm’s renewal, transitioning from selling Lambrusco grapes for blending into higher-quality wines to the realization that true value comes from caring for the production process. This project arises from our desire to demonstrate that an abandoned, confiscated farm can generate economic, social, and ecological value through a regenerative approach to farming and human practices.

Brushko is collaboration with those who dare to experiment with new practices, different from the cultural traditions of farmers and producers clouded by the Green Revolution, led by the use of chemicals in the field and in the winery. Brushko is about being together, sharing a light moment, and opening visions and possibilities for the future.

Brushko wine from XFarm was born in 2024 in collaboration with Masseria La Cattiva (Turi, BA), founded by a group of friends—Leonardo, Manfredi, Paolo, Alfredo, Michael, and Loreto—united by their passion for fermentation and wine. La Cattiva’s intent is genuine: to make good wine and enhance the unique terroir of the Murge region. The vines have been farmed strictly organically since their planting, and everything in the vineyard is done by hand.

BRUSHKO WINES

LAMBRUSCO ROSSO – 13.5% abv

The fully ripe Lambrusco grapes were processed using a technique we could jokingly call “lasagna.” Part of the grapes were destemmed and crushed, part left whole, and part pressed directly. This created a full-bodied and structured wine with a nice fruity character, making it intriguing and enjoyable to sip.

LAMBRUSCO ROSATO FERMO – 12% abv

The grapes are Lambrusco, and the harvest was slightly advanced by a few days to capture more freshness in the finished wine. The winemaking process involved gently pressing the grapes. The juice then fermented naturally in stainless steel for 7 months. The result is a highly aromatic wine with red fruit notes, fresh and lively.

LAMBRUSCO RIFERMENTATO – 12% abv

The petnat rosato uses the rosato as a base, but its fermentation is completed in the bottle, resulting in a fresh, mineral, and lively sparkling wine.
